Collection: Original Paintings

 Each painting is inspired by scenes and the aesthetic of my favorite stories, specifically Pride and Prejudice, Little Women and Anne of Green Gables. Growing up, I always related to Elizabeth Bennet, Josephine March and Anne Shirley. All were quick witted, and perfectly flawed. I have read these 3 books several times, and watched the movies more times than I can count! My mother and I spent so many weekends watching these movies and swooning over the imagery, main characters and love interests. When I look at this collection of paintings, I think about my mom, my childhood, my daydreams and nature. During my high school and college years, the soundtracks to these movies were the background music to my life. You will find that most of the artwork titles are also song titles, each carefully chosen. I

I want to dedicate this collection to my mom, who affectionately goes by Marme, now as a Grandmother and to my daughter. Sweet Sadie and Eliza, I can’t wait to introduce you girls to these classics and to create our own memories!
